OUR PURPOSE
Hi, I’m Brett Simpson, the Founder of With Fierce Compassion. I completed cancer treatment in 2007, only to find myself falling into depression. Like many survivors, I felt alone and overwhelmed by the realization that my lifestyle choices had contributed to my diagnosis.
Survivorship is a double-edged sword: you’re grateful to be alive, but the journey of rebuilding—mentally, emotionally, and physically—can be isolating and confusing. For me, the hardest part wasn’t the treatment; it was what came after.
Everyone around me, though well-meaning, became an “expert” with advice on what I should do. I needed clarity: someone to help me sort fact from fiction, apply relevant tools, and navigate the mental and emotional challenges of healing. That’s why I created With Fierce Compassion—to offer the support I needed during my journey.
